Raised by an American artist and English writer in rural Ireland, Clare spent many years immersed in a very traditional Irish culture. This has been a significant factor in her growth as an artist - being surrounded by peaceful beauty and a quiet, slow-paced lifestyle. Clare used this opportunity as a way to observe life and people, and gain perspective on small, characterized details noted in her artwork. 

 

Clare has been an artist for 15+ years, with her main focus and study on portraiture and the human form. Her most common medium is graphite, with a practice and exploration in oils and acrylic.
